B ys have hallengin eason The Colts' track team started out this year with a new head coach, Mr. Abatiello. At the start of the season, Abatiello stated that, Our strengths are in the distance and middle distance events. The top distance runners were Steve Eveker, Grant McCosh and Rick Wheeler. The sprinters included Joel Strazsheim, Richard Robinson, and John McLenagan. Competing in five events was Andy Petry who was called the monster man by Abatiello. Doug Wooley participated as the team's marathon man. Jeff Cohen, Stan Roddenbery, Pat Tribby and Dominic Voso were the shot putters and also the weightman's relay team. Girls Get New Coach aff! 1 Girls take last look down the track before they take off. Limbering up is a big part of track. The girls' track team started the season with a new coach, Mr. Charles Box. Box is a veteran track coach, but this is his first year at directing a girl's team. Some of the star members and their events included: Nancy Boggs, Laura Leamont, and Michelle Doherty, the top one and two-milers. Jumping the hurdles were Rhona Gerke and Vicki Brown.
