me ince 1947 Coral Sea has made 11 Mediterranean cruises, 14 Western Pacific cruises which included 6 combat tours to Yankee Station off Vietnam and an around the world cruise including Western Pacific, Indian Ocean and Mediterranean cruises. She has made innumerable training, exercise, refresher and shakedown cruises. She has never 7 been on water hours, even off Yankee Station in the hot South China Sea.
