States He entered U March 3, 1964 at Houston, Texas and went to boot camp at RTC San Diego, Calif. . W ' Master Chief Teston reported aboard USS E1 Dorado CAGC 111 in July 1964 and served there until September 1966. His next two assignments were with the Amphibious Navyg he served aboard USS Princeton fLPH51 from October 1966 to July 1967, then reported aboard USS Windham City CLST11701 in August 1967 and served in her until January 1968. 8 Following his tour with the Gator Freightersn, Master Chief Teston served in USS'Wi1liam C. Lawe CDD 7631 until April 1969, then reported to USS Bigelow CDD 9421 that same month and served there until January 1970. Following three years as a civilian, Master Chief Teston reenlisted and served aboard USS Suribachi QAE 211 from April 1973 to June 1976. After another tour aboard a destroyer, USS MacDonough CDDG 391, from June 1976 to April 1978, Master Chief Teston reported as an instructor at the V Signalman A school at NTS Orlando, Fla. - In June 1981 Master Chief Teston went back to the fleet aboard USS Santa Barbara QAE 281. He -served there until June 1984, when he went back to Signalman A schoolg this time as the course supervisor. He left Orlando in July 1987 and reported aboard USS Coral Sea CCV 431 in September 1987. He was appointed Command Master Chief aboard the Ageless Warrior in November 1989. Master Chief Teston has been awarded the Navy Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Commendation Cthree awards1, .
