EXECUTIVE OFFICER CAPTAIN DENNIS V. IVICGINN aptain Dennis V. McGinn was commissioning as an 905580, born and raised in Attleboro, CaPtaiI1 MCGIMI proceeded to Massachusetts. He attended NAS PeI1SaC0Ia, Florida for primary and secondary schools in training as a Naval Aviator. the area, graduating from Coyle Captain NICGIHI1 received his High school in Tauntgn, wings in January of 1969 at NAS Massachusetts. Captain McGinn's naval career began as a Midshipman at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He completed his college education in 1967, earning a degree in Naval Engineering. Upon graduation from the Naval Academy and Kingsville, Texas and was assigned to fleet replacement squadron VA-122 at NAS Lemoore, California flying the A- 7 Corsair light attack aircraft. His first sea duty consisted of two consecutive combat cruises with VA-113, the Stingers, also out of Lemoore, aboard the USS 1 RANGER QCV-615. While assigned to VA-113 Captain McGinn flew combat missions over Vietnam during the 1970-1971 and 1972-, 1973 deployments. His first shore tour was with the United States Naval Test Pilot School at Patuxent River, Maryland followed by a tour with VX-5, at the Naval Weapons Center, China Lake, California. Later in his career he would return to Patuxent River to become the Chief Test Pilot. Following his tour at China Lake Captain McGinn flew A-7's with the Blue Diamonds of VA-146 aboard the USS CONSTELLATION. He then assumed command of the Light Attack Weapons School Pacific Fleet and served as Executive Officer and Commanding Officer of VFA-27, the Chargers. In 1984 he became Commanding Officer of VFA-125, flying the Navy's newest strike fighter aircraft, the FfA-18 Hornet, in Lemoore, California. Captain McGinn assumed the duty of Executive Officer of USS CORAL SEA in June 1986. Among Captain McGinn's decorations are the Distinguished Flying Cross, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Navy Commendation Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallan-try. Captain McGinn is married to the former Kelly Harris, of Leonardtown, Maryland.

Captain O'Hearn is a native of Manitowoc, Wisconsin and graduated with the class of '67 at the U.S. Naval Academy. He completed flight training at HT-18, NAS Whiting Field, Milton Florida, in November of 1968 where he was designated a Naval Aviator. From Miton, Florida, he reported to Fort Rucker, Alabama, where he received Army Helicopter Tactics Training. In September 1969, Captain O'Hearn reported to Helicopter Attack Squadron ILightl THREE QHAL-35 where he was assigned to Det-9 on the Mekong River in South Viet Nam. In September 1970, he returned home and proceeded to Helicopter Anti- submarine Squadron ONE IHS-ll in Quonset Point, Rhode Island, for carrier replacement pilot training. Upon completion, Captain O'Hearn reported to EXECUTIVE OFFICER Helicopter Anti-submarine Squadron FIVE IHS-51. Following a three year tour at HS-5, he reported to Helicopter Anti MICHAEL S. 0'HEARN in Jacksonville, Florida where he was an Instructor Pilot. In August 1976, Captain O'Hearn entered Post Graduate study at Montery, California, where he received a Master of Science Degree in Weapon Systems Acquisition. After graduating, he returned to HS-1 in May 1978 for carrier replacement pilot training. From HS-1, Captain O'Hearn received orders to Helicopter Anti-submarine Squadron FIFTEEN QHS-155 for his department head tour as Maintenance Officer and Safety Officer. On completion of his tour with HS-15 in May 1980, Captain O'Hearn proceeded to Helicopter Anti-submarine Wing ONE QHSW-ll, where he was assigned to the TAC D and E HS-9 from June 1983 to January 1984 and from there he went to OPNAV where he was HSXHSL mission sponsor in OP-951 from February 1984 to September 1985. He assumed command of Helicopter Wing Reserve from January 1986 until July 1987, then reported to USS CORAL SEA in December 1987 as Executive Officer. Captain O'Hearn was advanced to his present rank in June 1988. Captain O'Hearn has been awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and 26 Air Medals Q21 strikefflight and 5 individual actionl. Captain O'Hearn is married to the former Marla Vlahopoulos branch and Special Projects. He from Athens, Greece, and they was then ordered to HS-9 as are presently residing in Virginia Executive Officer in March 1981.
