Hello week pulls through Hello Week Schedule Tue. Teacher initiation at noon which was the jelly bean race. Teachers carry jelly beans in a spoon which was in the mouth. First one with 20 won. Mr. Black won. Wed. Tug a war. Seniors won. Thur. Freshmen voted for Mr. and Miss Hello. Mr. Hello: Quentin Wolfe, Miss Hello: Helen Slack. Fri. Pie eating contest at assembly. There were 4 Srs. and 4 Jrs. picked by coaches from football team. The Srs: Quentin Wolfe, Mike Petersen, Kim Luckman, Wes Northup. The Jrs: Darrell Pierce, Jay Andrews, Dan Billings, Dennis Shields. The Jrs. won. Everyone watches Hello Week pass by. Miss Hello-Helen Slack, Mr. Helio-Quentin Come on Jim, show us what you learned in tight rope walking. Wolfe. 26

Queen Debbi Reigns at Homecoming Homecoming court: Queen Debbi McNew, escort Doug Gaslin; Senior Princess Jody Schrag, escort Rick Rose; Junior Princess Denise Benham, escort Glenn Wilson; Soph. Princess Joni Holycross; Freshman Prin cess Debbie Mahlberg, escort Ken Carlson. Homecoming started out with the crowning of the princesses. Players from the team crowned each princess this year a week before the game. Freshmen Spike Perry crowned princess Debbie Mahlberg; Soph. Brian Smith crowned princess Joni Holycross; Jr. Darrell Pierce crowned princess Denise Benham; Senior Wes Northup crowned princess Jody Schrag, Senior Quentin Wolfe crowned princess Debbi McNew. The following week things were moving fast with the work on signs and floats. The theme this year was Fire up Big Red. The winners of the float and signs was announced between quarters and at half time the Queen and her court were introduced. The band played My Fair Lady in honor of Queen, while tri-captains Jim Minard, Wes Northup and Quentin Wolfe joined in on the excitement. Jim caped the Queen as Quentin gave her the roses and kiss, Wes supervised. The court went back to their places and the game went on. The Homecoming final game score was 0-0. After the game was a dance which featured Ora Borris. All in all, it was a night to remember. 28 Mike Johnson, 33, and Dennis Shields, 42, in one of their many interceptions.
