The 1971 - 1972 Homecoming was held October 25 through the 29th. It started out in the usual manner with sign making parties held each day after school for each class. All week students worked on their floats which were judged Friday morning. That afternoon after school the girls gathered at Washington School for a serpentine through town doing their favorite yells. Friday night the Devils met the Bandon Tigers and at halftime the winners of the sign making contest were announced. 1st went to sophomores, 2nd Freshmen, 3rd Seniors and 4th Juniors. The winners of the float contest were announced also. 1st went to Seniors, 2nd Juniors, 3rd Sophomores, and 4th Freshmen. The Queen and her court were crowned and the band performed to finish the halftime entertainment. The final score of the game was 15 to 24.
