Boys’ and Girls’ Glees The glees, in listening to and appreciating good music, learned to recognize its value and become better musicians. After listening to great performers on records, they strive to attain their best as these artists have done, in studying the technique of the written music, they increase their skill in reading music.  IL Lt Captivating the audience with its skill in both music and marching the Coquille High School Concert Band provided Coquille fans with musical and moral support during home football games. Director Wesley Hedeen contributed many clever ideas and the half-time entertainments sparkled with skill and originality. When the Christmas holiday rolled around, the band, choir, and girls' and boys' glee clubs combined their efforts to present a Christmas Concert of sacred and novelty music. The band also toured Coquille's elementary schools, providing students with entertainment and boosting the holiday spirit. A Spring Concert and a Variety Show were also main activities of the band this year. 27
