 Gentlemen Prefer Blondes Whose side are you on, anyway? What happens when two girls travel unchaperoned through the continent of Europe? Between money and men, many laughable situations arise, and as in fairy tales, all turns out well, with the gals getting both the men and the money. ,jri Have Camera Will Shoot Shutterbugs officers with Mr. Barnett, examining a camera. The members of Shutterbugs were very interested in learning to shoot better pictures, which more accurately conveyed the ideas they were trying to capture. Knowing how, assisted them during the all-school photo contest, and many national contests. The money gained from several projects plus the money paid by the Shutterbugs for the paper and chemicals used to develop and print pictures, was used for the prizes which were given to the winners of their photo contest. The Shutterbugs were under the leadership of Fred Erickson, president; Sandra Erickson, vice-president; Sharon Prindel, secretary; Jeanette Ruff, treasurer; and Dana Kennedy, student council representative. Many nights, with Mr. Barnett, advisor, the Shutter-bug members spent their time in the uarkroom printing pictures and developing film. SEATED--A. Sherwood, A. Mauney, M. Whitney, C. FHA members participated in the chili feed, dances, candy sales, initiation, the annual UNICEF program, and the annual Christmas party. The 1958 FHA Southcoast District Conference was held here in Coquille with Jeanette Philipps presiding as chairman. It was attended by FHA chapters from Coos and Douglas counties. The Cotton and Cord dance, attended by gaily dressed girls and their dates, go to church Sunday, installation of new officers, sending some of the girls to the state FHA meeting, and the style show at the Mothers' Tea completed a year of enjoyment.
