Staff Works for a Better Yearbook Guided, helped, and coaxed by editor, Joetta Miller, and advisor Mr. Willard Mohn.the annual staff, consisting of students interested in journalism, art, photography, advertising, and general business, sought to put out a yearbook that would be enjoyed by all. Members of the business staff haunted local stores, persuading owners to buy advertisements in the Laurel. Other members of the staff worked hard in order to finish the sections in time to meet deadlines. Two after-game dances, a basket social and dance, and the Laurel Party, have helped provide money for the yearbook. The '58-'59 staff have worked hard and sincerely hope that each one of the C.H.S. students enjoy this memory book now and later. SEATED--J. Miller, editor, and A. Mauney, assistant editor. ,jri Have Camera Will Shoot Shutterbugs officers with Mr. Barnett, examining a camera. The members of Shutterbugs were very interested in learning to shoot better pictures, which more accurately conveyed the ideas they were trying to capture. Knowing how, assisted them during the all-school photo contest, and many national contests. The money gained from several projects plus the money paid by the Shutterbugs for the paper and chemicals used to develop and print pictures, was used for the prizes which were given to the winners of their photo contest. The Shutterbugs were under the leadership of Fred Erickson, president; Sandra Erickson, vice-president; Sharon Prindel, secretary; Jeanette Ruff, treasurer; and Dana Kennedy, student council representative. Many nights, with Mr. Barnett, advisor, the Shutter-bug members spent their time in the uarkroom printing pictures and developing film. SEATED--A. Sherwood, A. Mauney, M. Whitney, C.
