i glfes man G ass if The Freshman Class of l944, made a name for themselves because of their school spirit and activi- ties. Their first year of high school began with the election of class officers. Those elected were: President - - james Howe Vice President - Allan Moore Secretary - Patricia Berg Representative - - james Peart The Freshman Initiation Dance was held soon afterwards and the Freshmen lost some of their shyness and entered into the school activities. Those who participated in debate club were Louise Butler, Andrew Briner and Keith Conlee. MAY, 1941 Allan Moore and james Howe went out for foot- ball, but did not receive their letters. Richard Lane, Fred Kunz, jim Young, and Frank Woodward won basketball recognition as substi- tutes when they played on the B squad. Those playing in the up-and-coming High School Band are: Ben Barton, Martha Berg, Dan Kramer, Fred Kunz, jim Peart, Donna Perkins and jesse Sherwood. Allan Moore, vice president of the Freshman Class, moved away at mid-term and the class elected juanita Culbertson to fill the vacancy. The Freshmen wish to thank the school for help- ing them get accustomed ta the ways of the Student Body, We are eagerly awaiting the coming three years. 23
