ezzior ass is fory wk The Senior Class of l94l is proud to present the colorful and eventful path they have made in their four years at good, old C. H. S. In l937-38 they were called green freshmen but had an unusually exciting year. The officers of the class were as follows: LeRoy Gilbert, president, Arlie Knife, vice president, Virginia Young, secretary-treasurer, and Harvey Cole as class representative. There were five members in the band. Howard Moy was the only boy to make his letter in football. The sophomore class elected LeRoy Gilbert, president, Howard Moy, vice president, Dorothy Hardenbrook, secretary-treasurer, and Harvey Cole as class representative. Again this year, there were five members in the band, and again Howard Moy was the only sophomore to make his letter. The junior class really made people sit up and take notice this year. They started off with a bang by electing Dale Stevens, president, Arlie Knife, vice president, Virginia Young, secretary-treasurer, and Russell Kollar, class representative. There were only four members in the band. LeRoy Gilbert, Arlie Knife, Charles Mclntee, Paul Walker, Howard Moy, Don Landaker, and Norman McCool made letters in football. Bud Trendell and Charles Mc- lntree made letters in basketball. Three big events, and very successful, too, were the junior Play, The Dog Patch lamboree, and the junior-Senior Banquet. The play was a comedy called, Spring Fever. The banquet was dedicated to our athletes of I939. LeRoy Gilbert was elected to head the senior class, and with the able assistance of Russell Kollar, vice president, Donna Dunn, secretary-treasurer, and Sterling Gruenewald as class representative, put over a prosperous year. Everyone had lots of fun dancing on the ferry boat to the strains of The Ferry Boat Serenade at the senior ball. Howard Moy was the Student Body president, Virginia Young, the Student Body secretary, and Marvin Myers, the Student Body treasurer. The class of '4l had an outstanding athletic class with LeRoy Gilbert, Charles Mclntee, Paul Walker, Howard Moy, Don Landaker, Norman McCool, Dale MAY, l 941 Stevens, Bill Pettin- gill, Don Hurlbutt, and Ray Rowland making theirfootball letters and on the All-County team we are proud to say that Don Landaker was pickedforAll-County Center and Howard Moy for All-County Guard. Thereweresix senior boys that received their basketball awards. These were Russell Kollar, Bud Trendell, Charles Mclntee, Dale Stevens, LeRoy Gilbert, and Ralph Duncanson. Charles Mclntee and Bud Trendell were picked for the All-County Basketball Team. Merril Tozier upheld our honor in the high school band, and did an excellent job of it. FLASHl!!l If you missed The Dutch Detective you really missed a hit. This was a farce comedy presented LeROY GILBERT, President in the high school gym on April l8th as the senior class play. Then turned spring and there was May Day. Virginia Young was elected queen. Queen Virginia l. ruled over the May Day Festivals with the able assistance of her lovely court consisting of Pat Holverstott, Rhea Walker, Marvin Myers, Helen Nelson, Donna Dunn, and llean Griffin on May 3rd. Georgia Briner and Donna Dunn were selected to be the class speakers at graduation since their scholastic records were the highest in the class.
