SENIOR CLASS HISTORY We entered C, C. H. S. in September, 1954. Our class president was Milburn Taylor: Gale l-lull, vice presidentg Jo Ann Schwausch, secretaryg and Gloria Cassens, treasurer. Our activities that year were a few class parties. When our Sophomore year came. we elected Doyle Hammack, president, Joe Lynn Boyd, vice presidentg Carolyn Kokel, secretary, and Gloria Cassens, treasurer. During our Sophomore year, we presented a comedy play called HOT WATER The acting ability of Milburn Taylor, in the role of an exas- perated old man, astonished and pleased us all. Time passed quickly and our Junior year began. That was quite a year for us. Our class officers were: Doyle Hammack, presidentg Carolyn Kokel, vice president, Sandra Stiles, secretaryg Gloria Cassens, treasurerg and Jo Arm Schwausch. reporter. This year we presented the play ORP!-IAN NELL, which was a gay '90' melodrama. Such a play had never been presented in Copperas Cove. In March we went to San Antonio for a class trip. From the banks of the San Antonio River, we watched the San Jacinto Fiesta River Parade, a beautiful sight. Another outstanding event of the year was the Junior-Senior Banquet held in the library. The theme was 'Moonlight and Roses, where the library was transformed into an old-fashioned rose garden. Even the Junior boys, who objected to the balloon bag, which the girls had ordered for the occasion, called the banquet a success. At last we were Seniors. Carolyn Kokel is our president, Gale Hull, vice president, Sandra Stiles, secretary, and Gloria Cassens, treasurer. On October 26, our class sponsored a pancake supper. We wrote for donations from many com- panies, and we still have pancake flour and syrup leftl On December 9, several of our Senior mothers gave a Christmas Dinner at the Hull's, where we enjoyed the delicious turkey with all the trimmings. And did some of the boys ever eat! Right now we are starting on our Senior Play Mr. Poper's Penguins. Before our Senior year ends and before all seventeen of us separate and each goes his way, we are looking forward to many more happy times togetherg such as, the Junior-Senior Banquet, the picnics, and swimming parties, and the Senior Trip. When we leave the auditorium on May 23, to the strains of 'The Graduation March, we shall be taking the fond memories of our school days with us. We shall always remember the fine times we have had here during what will prove to be some of the happiest days of our lives. The school 'will little note not long remember what we say here, but we can never forget what we did here.

SENIOR CLASS WILL We, the Senior Class of Copperas Cove High School, in this year of 1957-58, being in reasonably good health and of doubtfully sound mind, realizing the uncertainty of grades and the vacillating dispositions of our faculty members, do hereby make this, our last will and testament. I, MILBURN TAYLOR, will my quiet ways and girlfriends to Kenny Cantrell, I, GLEN BUCHANNAN, do not leave anything, I am just thankful I got out. I, CAROLYN KOKEL, leave my brains to Delmond Rosenkranz 1 just to keep it in the familyj. I, SONNY BYRD, leave my 'Liberace locks' to Charles Baty, I, JOSEPH LA FOUNTAIN, leave my trophy of The World's Greatest Lover' to James Stiles. I, S, C, LEE, leave whatever I have, if I have anything, to whoever needs whatever I have and can do anything with whatever this thing is. I, GLORIA CASSENS, leave my shy ways after scoring a point in basketball to Ursula Paul. I, GALE HULL, do will my inherited nickname Blade to Randall Wade. I, WELDON KREMPIN, will my 'hot rod' ways of driving to Carrol Wheeless. I, JO ANN SCHWAUSCH, will my ability to attract boys to Dorothy Millsap. I, DOYLE HAMMACK, leave my ability to break in the lunch line and not get caught to Carolyn Meissner. I, SANDRA STILES, do will my ability to pop my chewing gum and get enjoyment out of it to anyone who can do it better, I, BOB MAYNARD, will my ability to give my class ring to another girl every week to Douglas Goff. I, HOMER TIPTON, leave my tendency to say 'I don't know' to Mrs. Franks. I, JANIE LYON, will my speed in typing to Dale Hull, I, RICHARD CANTRELL, wish I had something to leave but, circumstances as they are l need all I've got and more tool Qexcept tardy slips and I have too many of thosej. Last and Least, JERRY MUNCY, just plain leaves. We, THE SENIOR CLASS, leave to Mr. Groth the honor and privilege of now taking over our responsibilities of 'running' the school. Lastly, We, The Seniors of this year as a whole, do give to the Juniors with sadness in our hearts, the name of Seniors '58-'59, which they rightly deserve.
