But after he found out that he had the chance, he decided to take advantage of it and was named the valedictorian of his graduating class. Soji graduated with a GPA of 96.1. He was involved in activities such as OEA, National Honor Society, Number Sense, and many UIL competitions. Born in India, Soji moved to the United States at the age of 6. He lived in Philadel- phia and Carrollton before moving to Cop- pell. Soji felt that he never really had to make any sacrifices for his schoolwork and that his motivation to do well was simply part of his nature. SALUTORIAN Graduating one step behind Soji, Kristin Wilkerson proved to be as outstanding in extra- and co-curricular activities as in her academics. Student Council, NHS, and class officer for two years, she also served as editor of the school newspaper and as an athletic trainer.
