For freshmen the long trend upward looks almost impossible, and for seniors the advance seems only an approach to greater achievement. We hope that you will think of your experiences at Cople as steps leading toward a full and rich life. The Staff FACULTY RUBY BALDERSON CATHERINE WOODS FACULTY Greetings and best wishes to the Fac¬ ulty and Student Body of Cople High School. We were filled with glee, ' cause Freshmen were we, But the work was hard for us Sen¬ iors to be. Out of our class in their suits of green, Came future members of the cham¬ pionship team. Our friends, our parents, and teachers so dear, Helped make the 9th grade a wonderful year. Here we are again, and Sopho¬ mores are we. We ' re still working hard, we Sen¬ iors to be. Our girls in green, including Betty Ann and Myrtle Lee Won the championship in softball, how happy were we! Our Junior year, gosh, isn ' t it great? Next year we ' ll be Seniors, can we wait? The Banquet, Mrs. Courtney screams, Get to work raising money and decide on that theme. It turned out swell we ' re all glad to say. So everyone felt like shouting Hooray! Four lucky Juniors, attendants were they. To Joan, who was chosen the Queen of May. Our trip to Jamestown, WOW, what a day! More happened there than we can take time to say. Again the championship for our softball team - To win it next year is their fondest dream. The year was flying, but vaca¬ tion was there, So our Junior year ended a happy affair. Our Senior year, we ' ve made it at last! Who would have guessed the years go so fast? Work on the Annual, ball games, and the play. Have all helped to make this year so gay. On our trip to Charlottsville, we set out with strong will, It was broken, think of that, Don¬ nie Withers had a flat! Our Washington trip was better yet, one which we shall not forget, With the Juniors, we had loads of fun, But, boy, were we tired when that day was done! May Day will be quite a sight to see King is Bobby Nelson and Queen Myrtle Lee, Betty Ann, Maid of Honor, four attendants last, Were all chosen from the Senior class. Say, honor grads, are your speeches written? How about it, John, Myrtle, and Britton! Now that graduation is drawing near, We have some thoughts we want you to hear. To each of our teachers, we wish to say, Thanks for your help along the way! We ' ll always remember the guidance and cheer we ' ve received from you these past four years! To future seniors, this wish we express - Good luck at Cople, and much happiness! As we part to go our separate ways, we leave these memories of our High School days!! Sponsored by R. A.
