SENIOR CAPERS Glancing at the beaming and intelligent-looking countenances of our SENIOR CLASS reminds ue of incidents which have been carried on through the years with the CLASS OF 1948. Take RAYNOLD HGYPM AMBEARLE for instance. Who arer thought he would grow up to be one of Coplay High's finest athletes? Most of us think of Gyp as the little boy who didn't like first grade. That's o k, Gyp , not everybody gets a police escort to school. He can play the drums, too. Then there's BOBBY BROWN—one of the shy boys of this class. But irrespective of his reluctance, he's the next best thing to Einstein that Coplay High can ever hope to have. Next comes HELEN PEEWEE BROSSNER, who came to us from Whitehall. (Whitehall would have never given her up if they'd known what a pleasant girl she would turn out to be. It's too late now, she's hooked to a Coplay resident—with stars in her eyes.) We can't forget JOHN BOOKY BUCHFELLER. Even though he is from the sticks , he's proven himself pleasurable company for twelve years. We're only fooling, Johnny, Coplay couldn't exist without our backwoodsman from Stiles. Incidentally, he's quite a football player. We imagine he's made many a girl’s heart throb. Don't look nov but here comes DANNY 'DEICHY DEICHMEISTER, quite a pest to the girls in Physics class, but Btill lots of fun. Even though he's the innocent, backward, angelic type, we're sure he has a secret love that he won't confess about. And look what's here—CLARENCE DUMPER KEIFER—the guy who gets the teasing and takes it. We're not sure whether or not he has a secret love life, but if he's waiting , he deserves the best. Dumper’s nature is out of the ordinary and it's been a pleasure being with him. If you're out for laughs, this year’s clas6 has just what you're looking for. In addition, they're two of the best-looking girls in the class. MARGARET MARGIE HONSEL and SARAH MX are just what the doctor ordered. Margin is one of our cheerleaders and Sarah's best friend. These girls are like ham and eggs (one can't go without the other). We wish Margie luck as a secretary, and best wishes to Sara, who is going to take up nursing. Here comes the wolfl It's JOE HAL. We're proud of him. He's been with us since our Junior year and we're sorry it wasn't longer. Joe's been a fine football player for Coplay and a monotony-breaker for dull classes.

ELSIE GRAF, one of the class secretaries, is full of fun in spite of her shyness. She has been with us for twelve years and has been wonderful company. She deserves the best in life. We hope you get it, Elsie. Can you wake up long enough Alex to let us interview you? ALEXANDER KORKY KORSAK ie the record-breaker for sleeping, but can you blame him? Putting all kidding aside, he's a good sport, and many a laugh was obtained at his expense. Our class is worried, though,whether he will ever get out of the ancient stage of progress Hunting and Fishing. The Class of '48 is proud to present their heartbreaker. JOHN LEGS LEGATH, the good-looking athlete, whose motto is Love 'Em and Leave 'Em or Variety is the Spice of Life has broken several hearts already. We can't blame him, though. He joined us in our Junior year following a transfer from Central Catholic,but even in this short time he's made lots of friends and mixes as though he s known us forever. Here's BYRON LONG, the boy with initiative and the will to make good. He's a fine musician and quite an actor. Some lucky girl will land him some day and we wish him luck. And now here's a peculiar case A boy who prefers sleeping in the morning to sleeping at night. Maybe that's why he was always late for school. We mean JOSHUA JOSH MORTIMER, a male, blonde bombshell. He's another guy who likes the girls too much to settle down, but he's far from dumb and has the right to look forward to a good life. (Incidentally girls—he plays a sax). One of the best-looking redheads we know is THEODORE TETE NOVAK. He's quite a football star and, at the same time, can think things through in school work. We don't know definitely what he will do after school, but whatever he attempts, we're sure he will succeed. And here's the class mixer It's ANNABELLE FROCTCR , always too small for her age, but always accepted by others of her age. She's quite a cute little trick and a pal to all. She'8 the gal with personality plus. Romeo1 Wherefore art thou? You better show up cause Pittsie is looking for you. SHIRLEY PITTSIE PITTS, the girl with eyes in her stars, or is it stars in her eyes? Shirley will make an attractive secretary for somebody. Too bad Dick isn't a businessman. Oh well, that doesn't make a bit of difference. Pittsie is a joker and a day never passes without a hearty laugh. A rare combination, one that's hard to find, are the REASER TWINS.
