Thames, president of the Copiah-Lincoln junior College district since january, 1968, constantly works for the expansion and growth of both the Wesson and the Natchez campuses. Evident of expansion on the Wesson campus was the completion of the new 52.7 million W. S. Henley Student Union Center and the renovation of Callendar Hall, the renovation of the I. M. Ewing Administration Building, and an addition to Memorial Library. Construction of new facilities on the Wesson campus has highlighted Dr. Thames' years of service to Copiah-Lincoln. Enrollment continues to increase year by year. With a long-range program of a joint LISM!Alcorn!Co-Lin campus for Natchez, the campus will be moving for the 1981-82 school year to the old Washington School. Renovations are currently underway for the Natchez campus.
