Trillium dedication goes to Burlian Walker THE 1976 COPIAH-LINCOLN TRILLIUM IS DEDICATED TO . . . . . . a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln and the University of Southern Mississippi, with additional work at the University of Missis- sippi as a Newspaper Fund Fellow and at the University of Southern Mississippi. . . . A man who began his teaching pro- fession as an English instructor in his home- town of Magee and then ioined the faculty at Copiah-Lincoln in 1967. . . . one who has given endlessly of his hours and himself as advisor of the TRIL- LIUM and the WOLF TALES . . . a person who has worked tirelessly directing beauty pageants and Miss Co-Lin pageants . . . the host of the radio program the Co-Lin Report . . . an instructor in iournalism and an off campus class in English Compos- ition. . . . a member ofthe USM Alumni Associ- ation, Copiah-Lincoln Alumni Association, Mississippi Journalism Association, and the Wesson Lions Club. . . . a person who has been very active in the performing arts as evidenced by his charter membership in the Brookhaven Lit- tle Theatre and Co-Lin's Cast of Delta Psi Omega, his direction of and performance in several plays, and his service to the Mis- sissippi Theatre Association as assistant publicity chairman in 1972. . . . a person who has been selected to Who's Who in America in 1974 for its sec- tional publication by Marquis, the 1976 edition of Men of Achievement published by the International Biographical Centre in Cambridge, England, and Outstanding Young Men of America in 1972. . . . one who has served as president of the Copiah-Lincoln Junior College Alumni Association, 1970-71, and as president of the Mississippi Association for Journalism Education, 1973-74. . . . a man who loves Co-Lin, its students, and fun. . . . a man whose mind is full of memories of days past which can produce a smile at any given moment. . . . and to a man that possesses the vitality and initiative which promise that his future will be as produc- tive and rewarding as his past.
