College makes improvements under Thames' leadership President Billy B. Thames dedicates much of his time to improving Copiah-Lincoln Junior College's Wesson and Natchez campuses. Co-Lin has grown immensely since Dr. Thames became president in January, l968. The campus has been transformed into one of progress and the Natchez campus has been established. Adult education has expanded and all programs have advanced. More than 4,000 are enrolled in all programs through Copiah-Lincoln. While a student at Co-Lin, he was elected to the college's first Hall of Fame and was an honor graduate. He continued his educa- tion at the University of Southern Mississippi where he received a bachelor of science degree and a master of science degree. He was awarded a doctorate from USM in August, l 974. Dr. and Mrs. Thames, the former Anne Allen of Monticello, are the parents of three children, Rachel Lynn, Rebecca Leigh, and Wil- liam Bass, Jr.
