College expands under President's leadership President Billy B. Thames has dedicated part of his life to the improvement of Copiah-Lincoln Iunior College. His list of accomplishments is long. While a student at Copiah- Lincoln, he was selected to the college's first Hall of Fame and was an honor graduate. I-Ie continued his education at the University of Southern Mississippi where he received his bachelor of science degree and a master of science degree. In August, 1974, he was awarded his doctorate degree from USM. Copiah-Lincoln Iunior College has grown immensely since Dr. Thames became president in Ianuary, 1968. The campus has been transformed into one of progress and the Natchez campus has been added. Adult education has expanded and all programs have advanced.
