E r ee p t . 1' ii tv' 5, V BSU Holds Vespers ightlyg t Participates in any Activities Because the university and college is engaged in the search for truth, of which Cod is the source, the Christian perspective is essential to the realization of the ultimate purpose of 1 higher learning. lt is the purpose of the Baptist Student Union to give meaning, purpose, and coherence to learning. BSU seeks to relate the Christian faith to learning. Activities of the BSU are varied. Vespers are held four nights each week. A pre-school retreat, a welcome party for incoming freshmen, the state BSU convention and officers' retreat, Youth Night in Jackson, weekly trips to rest homes, regular meetings each week, the Q annual homecoming display, and the annual Halloween Carnival are just a few of the activi- ties of this busy group. One does not join the Baptist Student Union, hut he instead participates in its manyiactivi- -- ties such as Vespers, Sunday School, etc.
