e ili-fliiyate the 1968 TRILLIUM to . . . . one who initiated in us an interest in values whieh will re- main with us . a person who worked tirelessly at all times to present to others t,.o-Lin at its hest . one who worked for and with us and gave generously of her time and wisdom . a teacher who for 17 years dedicated her life to Copiah- Lint-oln .lunior College . a devoted individual who taught us to appreciate Ameri- can and world history . a person who for years sponsored the International Rela- tions Club and who, through this eluh, ereated mueh inter- est in current events . a lady who unselfishly sponsored the Baptist Student Union for many years as faeulty advisor and made many, many trips on her own expense . a gracious. smiling person whom we miss at Copiah- Lineoln bet-ause her health foreed her retirement this year . . . Because we hold mueh respect and love for her, and het-ause we wish to honor her for her thousands of deeds to Co-Lin students, both past and present, we humbly dedi- eate this volume of the TRILLIUM to a true friend of C0- Lin... Mrs. Vivian Armstrong Byrd joined the Co-Lin faculty in S4-pteniher. 1950. She received a BA. degree from Mississippi Wonianls College tnow William flareyj and later a Masteifs degree from the llniversity ol' Southern Mississippi. At tlopiah-l.ineoln she was ehairman of the soeial seienee department and served on several laeulty eom- llllllees. Mrs. Byrd was a nienilmer ol' the tlopiah-liineoln Edu- ealion Assoeiation and the Mississippi l'ldueation Assoei- ation and she holds ineniliership in the Mississippi His- .
