Y l ur President - Hardworking, Capable, Dedicated .. Wai, .5 sq f-si PRE IDE T F tiqfx President Fortenberrv has dedicated 28 years of his life in service to Copiah-Lincoln. The list of his accomplish- ments is long. He began his record of service to the college in l939 when he was appointed coach. assistant dean and instructor in science. His leadership as an educator is evidenced by the posi- tions he has held at Copiah-Lincoln. in Mississippi. and the South. He has served as president of the Mississippi Junior College Association. and is a member of the Mississippi Economic Council. Mississippi School Administrators As- sociation. and the Southern Association of Junior Colleges. He now serves as a member ofthe Executive Council of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and as a member of the Mississippi Junior College Commission. His most recent and one of his most outstanding accom- plishments is the leading role he took in the completion of Co-Lin's modern vocational-technical complex. He has been instrumental in many other phases of the progressive growth of the Copiah-Lincoln Jr. College campus. Co-Lin's Board of Trustees unanimously voted to name the new vocational-.technical building in honor of him in recognition of his foresight in planning far in advance. and for the tremendous amount of work and effort expended by him in furthering the vocational-technical curriculum. and for his untiring efforts in seeing to the completion of the vocational-technical building. President Fortenberry is also a member of Phi Delta Kappa. national education fraternity. past president ofthe Wesson Lions Club. and a deacon in the Wesson Baptist Church. He is a past chairman ofthe Committee on Studies and Accreditation of the Mississippi Education Associa- tion. college division. . EORTE BERRY 219. fu 1 'TW '
