..a.--,-- '-k MESSAGE TO SOPHOMORE CLASS AND CO-LIN TRILLIUM In years to come your yearbook the Co-Lin Trillium, will be one of your most cherished possessions We always look forward with much anticipation to the delivery of The Trillium because it represents through words and pictures every facet of campus life. Most of us take the Trillium for granted, however, if we would stop for a few moments and evaluate our yearbook it would be quite evident that many, many hours of work and planning are put into this project in order for you to have this excellent publication. Certainly all of us owe a special Thank you to the members of the Trillium staff, the sponsor and the sophomore class for their efforts on our behalf. I should like to challenge personally those of you who are responsible 'for this book and all of the other students at Copiah Lincoln junior College to get the most from the op- portunities that are offered you during your junior college years. If ever in the history of mankind our world needed dedicated, intelligent leadership, it is now. That leadership will either be provided by this generation of fine American young men and women or will come from other areas of the world and other people whose philosophies and ideolo- gies are completely foreign to our way of thinking. Let us, therefore, urge each of you to prepare yourselves for places of responsibility in our future. Our hope and prayer for each of you is that you will find your place of service in your respective community and that you will assume your full obligations as outstanding citizens and leaders in our state and nation Very sincerely yours, F. M. Fortenberry A belated Happy Birthday, Mr. , Fortenberry, and thank you! 1
