President Z M. ?0rfc'u!ferry Our president has been associated with Copiah-Lincoln junior College, in various capacities, for nineteen years, most of this time as a member of the administrative staff. He first served the school as coach and instructor in social studies. Later he held the position of Director of Athletics. Shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor, his work with the college was interrupted in order that he might serve his country as an instructor with the Bureau of Aeronautics. Upon his return to the college in 1944, he re- sumed his teaching activities. He was appointed Dean of Men and Assistant to the President. He held these positions until he became president in 1956. President Fortenberry has shouldered the problems and re- sponsibility of supervising the education of the students of Copiah-Lincoln, and he has proved his abilities as both an in- structor and an administrator.
