Lowell Goutremout Ronme Wisner Annamay Halko Carol Durham Leon Hams Carol Sherman Axleen Waugh Lyda Liscum Pat Brady Kenny Ball Gene Smith Tommy Jones 'Ns lf Class Hrstory September 1951 was the birth of the Class of '55 all anxious excited Freshmen each secretly promisrng himself a wealth of knowledge and pleasures for the rmpendrng years The year was mainly one of adJustment and we were content to learn all we could from hrgh school and the rrreproachable upperclassmen, Wrth Mr Gamble who has been our advisor for the last four years and Mrs Waters hrs assistant the Class of '55 was soon made to understand that they must begin promptly to seek ways to pay for a trrp as Senrors, How- ever acuvrtres were confmed to movies and other mmor events The one BCI play, Twelve O'clock Murder was staged early m the Sprmg in COIIJUIICIIOH wrth the Sophomores. Forty two members comprrsed our class and our elected offrcers were Presrdent Carol Durham Vrce Presr dent Jerome Hebert, and Secretary Treasurer, Robert Byrnes September 1952 and our second advancement as a class Sophomores weren t nearly so green, Qurte suddenly we were very dignrfied and impressrve wrth a new and mountmg stock of untouched books to tote before the Freshmen The most outstandrng activrties were the sale of soft dnnks at the home ballgames and the one get comedy Mama's Getting Married The thrrty six members chose as class leaders Presrdent Robert Byrnes Vice Presr dent Sonya LaCroix, Secretary, Carol Sherman and Treasurer Reba McIntyre The first class party was held rn the spnng at Wescotts Beach after which we were one Joyous memory and several mosqurto brtes rrcher September 1953 brought the srgnificance of being Uppmclassmen. Thrrty one Junrors elected Presrdent Robert In the next nme short months as many functions as possrble were held Statwnery and Christmas Card Sales along wrth candy sales succeeded rn bearmg a handsome profrt. The Calamrty Krds was a three act comedy presented m March The Football Prom was another class proJect Eugene Smith and Carol Shennan reigned as Kmg and Queen of FootbalL Both of these events helped boost the treasury The mcreased acuvrty boosted our morale as well We learned how to work and play together as one Mrss Southard succeeded Mrs Waters as Mr Gamble s assrstant. That winter a toboggon party was held at Gerald Carter's farm We bade each other a rollrckmg good bye trll fall after the beach party, held that June at South wick s September 1954 meant the begitmrng of the end Thrrty one Seruors chose therr officers Presrdent Robert Byrnes Vice Presrdent Sonya LaCrorx Secretary Carol Sherman and Treasurer Reba Mclntyre Mrs. Murray was asslstant advrsor Speculadon and also reflecuon both are foremost to all Semors We look back on the work behind us the things we would change and also those we wouldn't. Yet ahead we see a road that seems high and almost unsut mountable for each one rs choosing his own way to the top and we'll soon part company Work began early for the fall presentatron of Seventeen rs Awfully Young and early May marked the Sen tor Ball both were very successful Thrs year rnagazmes mdrvidual prctures shnrbbery ice cream, and thas yearbook were Senror-sponsored sales A class party was held at Halloween.
