Whitehall's Rastic helped push the ball close to a TD' for Whitehall, but a I5-yard penalty 78 brought them back. With runs from Gordon and Garzelloni and a strong line, the Broncos managed to push the ball back near a TD, The Broncos gave Whitehall a good game but lost I2 to 6. COOPERSVILLE 26 - SPARTA 34 The Broncos kicked off Friday night, October l7, to an undefeated Sparta team on the Spartans' field. After several runs, a touchdown was tallied when a penalty was called on Sparta on the Broncos' 5 yard line. The extra point failed. ln the second half the Broncos regained their spirit as Hintz, making a 66 yard dash, went over for a TD, Potgeter and Garzelloni scored the final two TD's. The Broncos tried hard but were unable to defeat the strong Sparton team. The final score was 34 to 26. COOPERSVILLE 24 - HUDSONVILLE 0 October 31 C'ville was host to the Hudsonville Eagles. ln the first quarter Potgeter and Garzel- loni made several good runs. ln the second quarter Gordon passed a lateral to Potgeter and a forward pass to Garzelloni. The score at the half was 7 to O. COOPERSVILLE 6 - ZEELAND 27 November 7 was the final game at Zeeland. Gordon pulled a Zeeland pass from the air and ran, only to be pulled back by a penalty. Later Garzelloni intercepted another pass and picked up a few yards. Gordon passed several complete passes to F. Scott. The ball changed hands several times.
