V. A. ALTENBURG Superintendent Life Certificate-Western Michigan College A. B. Western Michigan College A. M. University of Michigan Science Seniors: You have graduated from this foimal round of study called High School. Some of you will go through another period of higher technical or vocational train- ing. Sooner or later, however, all of you will be .plunged into a real world where nobody tells you what to -do next, and nobody seems to care very much what hap- pens to you. If you are to find a satisfying life, you must be keen, res-olute, and adaptable. You must undertake kind-s of work and -tasks that may not be easy or pleasant. You must know how to co-operate with others. Your high school teachers have not tried to teach you what to think, but they have endeavored to show you how to think. Use your -time well, for everything of value must be earned. You have made an excellent record thus far. Best wishes for future success. - V. A. Altenburg.
