BOYS’ GLEE CLUB The Boys’ Glee Club, comprising more than a dozen boys, has enjoyed an hour of singing each week under the direction of Miss Birkholtz. Four part music was sung, together with unison singing of ballads, college songs, semi-classical and standard songs for boys, such as “The Open Road, “The Gypsy Trail, “The Volga Boat- man,” “Anchors Away” and many others. GIRLS- GLEE CLUB The High School Girls’ Glee Club have chosen to be called the Mendelssohn Club this year; There are 56 members in this club. Thev meet every Monday and Wednesday during the eighth hour, under the direction of Miss Birkholtz. Three part music is sung. Voice placing, dynamics and the essentials of good singing are discussed. The club sang at several P. T. A. programs and plans to sing at the Baccalaureate and Commencement exercises. 1 hey have also taken part in the High School MusLal in May.
