CLASS OFFICERS N Thompson E Lucas Y Lergey S Drtty unior CALM Jhdfor In the fall of 1952 72 green freshles entered Cooper Townshrp Hrgh School We were new and frrghtened but determmed to work our way up the ladder and become the graduat1ng class of 56 Ass1gned to us were rooms 1 and 5 under the d1rect1on of Mr Charles T Ardary and Mr Harold Bev er1dge The followmg offrcers were chosen to guxde us through thrs new and exc1t1ng term ptesrdent Edward Lucas v1ce presr dent Patr1c1a Greenland and secretary An astasra Barnes Four boys represented us 1n football Drurng the year Yvonne Le1gey and jamce Soder were elected cheerleaders and Beverly Lundgren was elected secretary of the Student Councrl The fall of 53 and we were back no longer as green freshres but as eager sophomores We elected Yvonne Lergey pres1dent Delores Shadeck v1cepres1dent Bernaclme Humemk secretary and Patr1c1a Greenland treasurer to lead us through th1s term More events were now taktng place Our sophomore play a comedy entrtled My Hearts In H1gh proved to be very successful Then came the never to be forgotten day when we boarded our bus and went to the Phnlrpsburg Skatrng Rrnk for our should we say reckless but jolly Sophomore Jamboree Ar the end of this term Francrs Kulbage was elected v1ce presrdent and Beverly Lundgren treasurer of the Student Councrl Nearrng our goal we returned rn the fall of 54 as Jolly Junrors Due to our large class the ma1or1ty of the puplls were assxgned to Room 7 wrth Mr Charles T Ardary as thexr home room teacher and thrrteen grrls from the class made Room 2 rhexr home room where they were gurded by Mr Harold Beverldge We elected as class offrcers Yvonne Lergey pres1dent Edward Lucas vxce presrdent Naomr Thomp son secretary and Shxrley Drtty treasurer We were proud to show off our class rrngs early rn October Our class opened the dramauc season at Cooper w1th Here Comes Charlre as our class play and nerther snow nor storm nor cold could prevent us from makxng the play successful May the last month of the school year and we went on our long awa1ted Wash rngton Trrp Who among the junrors can forget that fmale of the many events on our school calendar 9 .4 - 11 , ' un n - D , , . . 1 1 1 ' ' 3 1 1 3 U - 11 u 5 V n - ' 1 .
