jre5Aman Jggdfory The Freshman Class began its four years at Cooper with 85 green, but interested mem- bers. We occupied Rooms l and 3, under the supervision of Miss Ward and Mrs. Skelton. It did not take us long to become accustomed to the ways of Cooper High. On September 25 we. held our first class meeting and elected our class Officers. Results were: Annette Liegey, President: Michael Schultz, Vice-President: loan Little, Secretary, Georgetta Cook, Treasurer. Although we did not have a football team our class was well represented in the baseball line-ups with LeRoy Dingey, Andy Belko, Robert Nearhood and Richard Marcinko in the outfield: Edwin O'Dell and Michael Schultz I VI rl FRESHMAN HONOR GROUP y' First RowiC1. Conaway, V, Borger, L. Folmar, F. Kyler, A. liegey, G Lindberg, M. Picard. Second Row-C. lohnson, C. Mock. M. Schultz, B. Hummel, B, Rudfors, I. Cullen, R. Marcinko. served as pitchers. Vtfe won further recognition in sports by the electing of Beatrice Coudriet and Phyllis Anderson as cheerleaders. We showed our patriotism by leading the other classes in the sale of 'War Bonds and Stamps. Qur sales ability was proved by our rec- ord in the Turkey Raffle and the Subscription Campaign in which Room l won first prize. Now we must leave the halls of Cooper until next fall when we shall come back as Sophmores and more determined than ever to uphold the place which we have achieved this year in Cooper High School.
