0141 20,125 QW AAQI' Elected Pres1dent for four years and salu tatorlan of h1s class' Prankle who was one of the few boys who answered Uncle Sams call 1S now serv1ng rn the Navy When he left for the SGTVICG Glorla Renaud replaced h1m as Pres1dent We Coopernrans want to wrsh Frankre the best of luck and we hope that he w1ll f1nd success at every port 8I'lL0l ,Mil t0l g ln September 1941 seventy four meek but determmed students entered Cooper to become the graduatron class of 1945 Yes we were meek but our determmatlon overshadowed our meekness and we were not long 1n prov 1ng the rn1t1at1ve we possessed by select1ng able leaders Frank Rack1sh Pres1dent Burton Cowder V1ce Pres1dent Glorla Renaud Secre tary Leroy Anderson Treasurer The class was well represented on the gr1d 1ron as well as 1n the band orchestra dram atlcs and choral groups We made a good start to a successful four years ln September 1942 we started thts year not as shy Freshmen but as enthus1ast1c Soph omores The class offmcers were Frank Racklsh Pres1dent less Kephart Vxce Pres1dent Glorra The two lettermen were less Kephart and Robert Duron Elarne Bachman a new member of the class won recogn1t1on as a cheerleader and Dlck Grey as manager of the football team It was w1th a sad heart that we saw less Kep hart leave us to serve 1n Uncle Sam s Navy Our frrst attempt at dramatlcs was Adven tures of Tom Sawyer wh1ch was the years most flnanctal success and wh1ch also proved our dramatrc talents Bes1des th1s we also partlclpated 1n other extra currlcular GCl1V1l19S The Sophomore Iamboree was the soclal h1t of the season and 1t ended our Sophomore year at Cooper but everyone looked forward to the next year when they would return as Iumors We began our Iumor year by electmg Frank Rack1sh as Pres1dent for h1s thlrd con secutrve year Iune Hutch1ngs as V1cePres1 dent G1or1a Renaud as Secretary for her thrrd year Eleanor L1ttle as Treasurer The f1rst festrve occasron was the Iumor Frank Rackzsh Hallowe en party wh1ch proved to be a mem orable mght to all who attended Agam came the chance to prove our dramatrc ab1l1ty by pre sent1ng the smash h1t All Amerrcan Famrly The year was cl1maxed by a Iun1or Sen1or Banquet wh1ch was g1ven to the Senlors to make the1r last year at Cooper an unforgettable one Last September we returned to Cooper to complete our f1nal year But now the war had begun to make changes Bob Dtxon Frank Racklsh B111 Llttle and Carl Borger were called to the colors before they were able to f1n1sh the ent1re year Iune Hutchmgs also left at m1d term to take up further studres at Lock Haven State Teachers College Pres1dent Glorla Renaud V1cePres1dent Michael Dellman Secretary lune Hutchlngs Treasurer After Frank Rackrsh left for the Navy Glorla Renaud became our Pres1dent Leroy Anderson frlled the vacancy of Vrce Pres1dent Davrd Watson replaced lune Hutch 1ngs as Treasurer We were well represented rn the baseball l1ne ups and 1n all the other extra currlcular act1v1t1es throughout the year We presented the Sen1or Class play The Green Llght wh1ch was a mystery play and one of the hrgh llghts of the year The Semor party and p1cn1c were the socral events of the season and w1ll be long remem bered by all who attended them At last came the three brg events of our school l1fe thus far Class N1ght Baccalaureate and Commencement These events shall never d1e 1n the hearts or memorles of the1r graduated class They were a f1tt1ng end to four happy years at Cooper wh1ch all passed away too qurckly The Coopemicm 9 . . , . , , . .
