The dedication of the yearbook is the most prestigious award that the Talisman staff can bestow upon any one person. Prerequisites include loyalty, dedication, services to the school, and a genuine concern for others. This year's dedicatee possesses all of these plus one other quality-love There is one person who fits this description best MR ROGER BAUERNFEIND After receiving his Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh he furthered his education at McMurry College to receive his Master of Education He has been a citizen of Abilene for twenty one years Mr Bauernfeind has taught at Jefferson and Madison He was principal of F rankhn Lincoln and now principal of Cooper High School He has been blessed with a loving wife Marilyn and two children Paul and David Mr Bauernfelnd is deeply loved by everyone with whom he comes in contact No man has ever won the hearts of so many m so short a time He came to Cooper a sophomore along with the Semors of 1978 He has grown with us and will be a part of our lives forever because he has helped so many of us when we have needed him He is truly deserving of this award , .
