Homecoming Queen nominees Take Their place in The pep-rally. The nominees are Mel- anie MonTgomery, Lindo Wingfield, and Susan Adams. YOU WOULD THINK THAT THE DISTRICT FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS COULD AFFORD A BUS TO TAKE THEM TO THE BALLGAME. Happiness is obvious as The football boys geT in The mood for The Homecoming TilT. Homecoming This year honored Cooper's firsT graduaiing class. Fri- day m o r n i n g aT The pep-rally, Cooper's firsT Coming Home Queen was announced. Chosen was Mrs. Mike Thornell, The fornier Elaine WalTer, a member of The firsT gradu- aTion class aT Cooper. The acTiviTies began on Thursday nighi wiTh a march down Sayles Blvd. and a pep-rally on The Mc- Murry campus. Friday morning aT The pep-rally The Three nominees for Homecoming Queen were presenfed. They were Linda Wingfield, Melanie MonT- gomery, and Susan Adams. AfTer The pep-rally a Tea sponsored by The STudenT Council, was held To honor all exes presenT. AT The game ThaT nighf, red and blue balloons were released afTer Cooper's first Touchdown. AT halffime Linda Wingfield was nameol Home- coming Queen of 1966.
