611155 ffisfvry On the following pages you will see some of the students who have completed four years of high school work here, starting in Sep- tember, 1957- We were never so eager and proud to enter school as we were to enter Cooper High School. We had a pleasant Freshman year. That year excitement was greatest at the time of the Freshman Frolic, an annual Freshman party feature. ' Here it was that we started working and trying to do to the best of our ability. We worked hard so as to become Sophomores. The Sophomore year found us putting away our childish ways. We really became sophisticated. This year, we thought, was our greatest because ofthe Sophomore Ball. For our theme, we used A Trip to Paradise lsland. And we really felt that night that we were in Paradise. We didn't realize that our Junior year could be more exciting than the others. Why? Because of the Junior-Senior Prom, the theme of which was Evening in Paris. Memories of this activity will linger for many a day. We were happy to be the first Junior class of Cooper to attend Career Day. Formerly this activity has been for Seniors. On June 5, 1960, we left school to return to our present status -Seniors. When we returned to school this fall, we were sorry to find that we had lost several of our classmates who had chosen other fields of endeavor during the summer or had moved away. We were glad to welcome Jesse Walker and Joseph Adams. An outstanding event of our Senior year was the crowning of Florine Smith as Miss Senior Class. At this affair all the senior girls were presented. This was a very pretty activity. This year has been a successful one. We are now looking forward to that day of graduation, when everyone will climb the ladder to reach the top round which holds his future.
