jjrop QCY Hi Doris, I have finished my trip around the United States with Jerline Watson and Marjean Troublefield, two Wacs. While boarding the plane I was greeted by the lovely hostess of P.A. A, , Clarastine Blackmon. She said that her uniform was tailor-made by Elsie McCullers and Delois Hinton of Milwaukee. I met the famous architect, Douglas Wall. Douglas told me that his con- structors were Morgan and Sanders Brickmason Company. They are doing good business for Washington, D. C. At the Library of Congress I met the bookkeeper of the year, Bessie Taylor. When we arrived in N.Y. , we checked in at Barnes Rochefeller Hotel. You can guess Minnie Barnes was the head of the firm. We refreshed our memories the next day by listening to the news. The news commentator was Billy Dunn. The exciting news of the day concerned General Turner Mitchell and Captain Alfred Hinton who launched the first rocket on the moon and the McCullers twins, Geraldine and Claudine who will be appearing for one week at the Plaza with the famous singers, Jackie and Jimmie, Charlie Tuck and Hattie Whitley. Their latest song is Stranger Across The Sea. At the Square Harden we gathered with the crowd to hear Ruth Davis, the famous missionary, telling about her trip to the Far East. Child, you should see the movie Going Home With You, co-starring Roland Richardson, Eva McClamb and Thelma Kirby acting in the leading roles as Bennie Fontaine, Della Lois and Jena Bibgreese. They were looking good about the head with their most beautiful hair styles and decorations done by those beauticians of California, Mildred Adams, and Florence Vinson. After leaving California we arrived in Smithfield and to my surprise I learned that Robert Vinson was head doctor of Johnston Memorial Hospital and Jerald Tuck was president of the Board of Trustees. Dorothy Sanders, Helen Sanders and Mary McCullers are nurses there. Betty Newsome and Lynell Williamson are teaching in our home town school. CarrieLee Mitchell and Leamoniassiter are instructors at St. Augustine and Winston-Salem Teachers' College. If you can get hold of this, George Tomlinson finally married Bessie Taylor and is the head school bus mechanic. Melvin Tomlinson is the town of Clayton's electri- cian and he haid he gives them his best support. You can figure he is still fat. While at the old home town we visited Jimmy Watson, the owner of the Watson Funeral Home and his distinguished stenographer, Geraldine McCullers. You know Geraldine always has been good at shorthand.
