,f Ghss cjflsfozy In April 1956 with smiling faces and cheerful hearts, we were very proud to enter the newly built Cooper High School with 58 enrolled. It was a pleasure to us to be the first freshman class to enter the building. We worked hard in order to become sophomores the following year. In our sophomore class we made a great deal of improvement. We put away most of our childish ways and were fortunate enough to have a Sophomore 's Ball. Everyone was glad to become juniors. Why? Because of the Junior-Senior Prom. The theme for the prom was, Sentimental Journey. On May 28, 1958, we left school smiling and saying We're Seniors now. On September 3, 1958 we journeyed back to school again. We were very sorry to lose the following persons: Jesse Hunter, Jesse Watson, Bessie Lee Williams. Marjean Troublefield, Lugenia and. Rogenia Durham. Norris Mc- Clain, Raymon Mangum, Charles Lassiter, and Edna Perry. We were more than happy to have gained the following personsg Roland Richardson, Mary McCullers, and Doris Peacock. An outstanding event of our senior year was a trip to A. 8a T. College in Greensboro, North Carolina which was terrific. This year has been' successful. Now we are looking forward to that day of graduation, when everyone will be seeking a better and brighter future in which to reach the highest peak life has to offer. is-i ix,- am Grown anof Qgcejofer
