Wellington After a three day cruise from Sydney COONTZ, along with USS FRANK KNOX QDDR-7421 , steamed into Wellington Har- bor on January 19th. The capitol of New Zealand, Wellington provided an unforget- able five days. Again we were greeted with real friendship and outstanding in- dividual hospitality. Highpoints were the Wellington Cup Horse Races and partici- pation in Anniversary Day, a holiday in Wellington. The COONTZ popular music group made a real American impression during its six appearances, and the soft- ball and basketball teams gallantly played local clubs. In appreciation for the ex- cellent hospitality, the officers hosted a reception that' was attended by over 100 influential New Zealanders.
