D- Yefslf-21' Helo Det The Helicopter Detachment was the crew that really made COONTZ an effec- tive Search and Rescue Unit. Flying a SAR configuered UH-2 Helo and well trained for their dangerous job, the Helo Det quickly impressed every man on the ship with their skill and daring. They could usually be counted on for a joke any time of the day, but were quickly serious when a rescue was underway. With us for both periods on station in the Gulf, they will be remembered always by every man on board. CLEMENTINE ONE
