E X o E C F F I E V R LIEUTENANT COMMANDER E. W. HAYS, U.S. NAVY LIEUTENANT COMMANDER E. W. HAYS U.S. NAVY, a native of Giltner, Nebraska reported aboard USS COONTZ in September 1965 from duty as an instructor at the United States Naval Academy. Upon entering the Navy in 1949 following the graduation from Giltner High School, he attended the Naval Academy, graduating with the class of 1953. Previous experience includes sea duty on board the USS MENIFEE (APA 202) and USS RAYMOND (DE-341) plus duty with the pre- commissioning and on board USS TOPEKA (CLG-8) and USS HOEL (DDG-13) Lieutenant Commander HAYS graduated from the U. S. Naval Postgraduate School in 1960 and grad- uated from George Washington University in 1965. Lieutenant Commander HAYS resides in San Diego with his wife and three children.
