WESTPAC 1966 WELL DONE! Every member of the crew aboard COOXTZ deserves a Hats off commendation for noteworthy accom- plishments during our recent deplojTnent to the Western Pacific. Our many items which appear on first lists such as controlled air intercepts, PT boat encounters, manned helicopter operations and other interesting evolutions all made efforts which would be unusual to other ships appear as routine for BIG CHARLIE. The PIRATE OF THE TOXKIX GULF has made history only through the superb cooperative team performance by each and every member of the ship ' s company. This cruise book is therefore dedicated to the crew of COONTZ. May it serve in years to come to renew the strong bond of friendship that onl} ' shipmates can enjoy. C.
