D IVIASI Having returned to COONTZafter a two year absence, I can say that she is still and always will be the finest warship in the LLS. Navy. For an individual ship to maintain the same high standards of operational readiness over a four year period is an amazing accomplishment. COONTZ has done this! This achievement is entirely due to the fine American sailors who have made up her crew. As the ship has matured, so have the officers, chief petty officers, and crewmen grown professionally and militarily, striving to be battle ready at any time on a moments notice.
