We have never failed to be ready when called upon. From the show days of West Africa to the bleakness of the Black Sea, we have performed in true 4.0 fashion. As Commanding Officer my rewards are two: first, to serve with men of your caliber and spirit is the greatest reward for any CO, secondly, is that same feeling of pride and satisfaction in our ship that we all share together. We are the COONTZ and she is a proven winner. Whatever the hour, whatever the task, COONTZ has met the challenge. Her reputation stands tall. We did it all, and we did it well.
