Forever, we shall rememher our principal, lklr. George S. VVillard, lr., as the key to our golden memories. hir. VVillard has opened the door to an important era in our lives. lo us he is an example of a gracious gentleman, an ever-helpful adviser and a trustworthy friend. ln short, he is like a partatime father. VVe shall always rememher little pictures ol' him -his wistful smile, his ready humor, his quick sym' pathy, his fitting jokes, and his justice to all. 'lihis spring, as we leave, we will rememher our golden moments of memories which he has lived with us, and we will keep in mind his amhitions for us and his desire that we live good and useful lives. On November 20, 1956, school officials, city digni- taries, representatives of civic and church groups gathered at the site of the new senior high school to participate in the ground-breaking exercises. Dr. Ralph Pike, chair- man of the Board of Trustees, presided at the hriel cere- mony which was closed with a prayer led hy the Reverend Clyde E.
