After this was said, Council members performed a laws chant. Homecoming Week, Freak Week, Twirp Week, and Western Week were all well prepared by the Council. The Homecoming Week parade, an assembly, and half time activities were also well planned by the Council and showed precision timing. The Council tried to help the Freshmen adjust to High School life with the Welcome dance and painting of C Mountain. A privilege was bestowed upon the Council by the administration, with an invitation for Council members to participate in the North Central Evaluation. Members took care of the Marquee board, and helped with the Student of the Month Program. Elections were held in the Spring. Over all the executive members showed strong leadership abilities. homecoming leaves memories 3. This year's Homecoming Week was filled with activities ranging from float building to crowning our 1976 Homecoming King and Queen, who were Fairy Jordon and Eddie Queen. Class members spent hours during the week after school rushing to finish their float by Friday. On Friday, Homecoming night, the floats were judged, and the number one winning float was the junior class, Let's Fly to Victory. During this week the school's breezeway was filled with events such as Squirt Gun Squirt Off, Find Your Noise, Egg Ride Race, Volkswagon Stuff, and Truck Decoration. The activities continued Friday afternoon in a parade and Snake Dance to San Carlos Park where the pep assembly was held. The week ended Friday night with a game between Gilbert and the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen. ali N' WP' 1.
