chs poms hold the key to spirit it was a busy year packed with enthusi- asm for the Pom Pon Girls at G.HS. Their season started in the summer as they prepared dances for competition at Gamp of Champs at N.A,U. At camp, they learned dances, skits, and won several awards: the Super-Star Squad Award, two Red Ribbo'ns, and several Blue and Red Ribbons for individual competition. Every year, the Pom Pon and Cheer- leaders work together to put on the Annual Dinner. The money raised from this dinner was used to buy new uniforms. During football season, the Pom line was a part of the marching band, they performed with the band at pre-game and half-time shows, attended Band Day and other band activities. Basketball sea- son set the Pom Pon Girls on their own, where hours of practice kept time work- ing to regain victory for their basketball team.
