Women were finally allowed to loin. They had to go through the same initiation the men did. Some of it was the wearing of gunnysacks, eating onions, and and having the men dress as females and the women dress as males. They sold booster ribbons and handled the snack bar during the wrestling season. Also t-shirts were sold as one of their money making projects. 1. The 1976 Drama Club began the year with the all school production of Dear Phoebe, a murder mystery about a newspaper office. The play was well performed and well received. Drama class gave some of the people new to theater the experience and con- fidence necessary to make the play a success. Members of Drama Club also enriched the production with their work on technical and stage crews. The international Thespian Society began its third- successful year by initiating nineteen new members. The troup also went to CAC to watch rehearsals for a college production and went to see a musical at Grady Cammage Auditorium. The third Annual Fine Arts Banquet was a fantastic success with members of Bear Tracks, Yearbook, Band, Speech, and the Music and Drama depart- ments presenting and receiving awards, Speech class was more than just fun, it was an experience. Students not only learned how to present a speech but how to hold and keep an audience in- terested. The class presented many kinds of speeches. Experiences, pet peeves, demonstrations, and heckling were often subiects of the speeches. As usual after dinner speeches were very popular. The class presented radio programs on KCKY and pro- grams over the school P. A. system. Speech present- ations played an important part at the third Annual Fine Arts Banquet. 1.
