eerie events fill freak week 1. Sally Bollhauve and Shay Mead- ows are being judged for their Halloween costumes. 2. Reading teacher Mrs Backstrom is caught by the camera's eye. 3. Art Buys is being made up for the Most Horrible Face contest, 4. Wade Welch is caught in his Halloween costume and makes a funny pic- ture. Entering its second year, Freak Week became a Halloween tradition at CHS. Student Council arranged various activities to fill this week. Monday started off with an arm pit water balloon relay. Some contestants ended up soaking wet. The frozen orange pass was held Tuesday. In this event, contestants struggled to pass frozen oranges with necks. Many succeeded in doing it well. Wednesday's activity was really a messy and sticky one, The Whipped Lifesaverf' A lifesaver was put at the bottom of a pie pan and filled with whipped cream. Contestants had to eat their way through the whipped cream to get to the lifesaver. Thurs- day's pumpkin carving showed mans artistic talents from smiling pumpkins to horrible faces. Friday's most horrible face and best costume was met with an enthusiastic student body and faculty.
