fha picnic kicks off the new year 1. FHA sponsor, Mrs, Murray and Kim Williams concentrate on cooking the food, 2. A few FHA members hardily spoon into the food. 3, FHA members converse while they wait for their food to be cooked. 4. Yvonne Harvey, State FHA Vice President, samples the delicious food. 5. Eating marshmellows on a string was an initiation game played by old and new members. This year's FHA started off with a picnic in San Carlos Park. The initiation gathered many new members as well as the old members. Along with the new members is Ed Lohr, the first male member to enter FHA. He is also the club's treasurer, along with Vickie Williams as President, Maria Valencia, Vice President, Debbie Stinson, Secretaryg Karla Chitwood, Historian, and Crystal Bradford, Publicity Chairman. Under the guidance of sponsor Mrs. Murray, this yearfs FHA was a SLICCQSS. 110-escape

As one of her duties, Debra Andonie corrects papers for her teachers. 3. Starla Christian helps plan for the next days activities. 4. Being a friend of the elementary students is one of Diane Andonie's responsibilities. 5. Mary McCullough patiently helps a second grader at West School. '-K

Mike King and Cecil jackson carefully select the cooking utensils needed for their next cooking lesson. 3. Cooking chefs, Rudy Aguirre and Shane Blakeman, exhibit their techniques in preparing a meal. The students of Mrs. Murray's Bachelor Survival classes learned the art of homemaking. They started the year off with cooking. They studied food nutrition, how to plan meals, and prepare foods. One of the highlights of class was the Thanksgiving dinner the students prepared for the faculty. Second semester, basic sewing skills were taught along with macrame and stitchery. The students learned different types of homemaking skills that they can carry over into their daily lives. escape -111
