FOREWORD To the students of Coolidge whose comradeship and cooperation made this book possible we present the '46 Corral. Bigger than ever before, our first peacetime yearbook is a product of that teamwork which exhibited itself in the enthusiastic support of every school activity from Student Council dances to basketball games and caused Coolidgites to be aptly referred to as an 'all-high' student body. All high , meaning championship caliber, is the best word to de- fine the spirit which has prevailed at our school. We won't attempt to analyze this spirit or even profess to know how it came into existence. But we do recognize it as being a living, vigorous, motivating force in our school. Perhaps in the years to come while glancing over this book we shall recall what was accomplished through teamwork in high school, and we may ask ourselves why such spirit and active co- operation should be confined to our high school society, why it could not grow with individuals and become a power for real good in our national and international communities! Here, then, is our school year of 45-46, all wrapped up in a neat little package. We hope that the pictures are good, the write-ups are interesting, and the spirit is there. So to you, all high student body, we present the '46 Corral.
