iliiale ut Spatial hents Supplementing the academic life of the Cooley student are activities and events which provide recrea- tion, participation, and sportsmanship. The past year has been especially rich in such endeavors. Dances were scattered throughout the calendar in opportune places. Lancer Hi-Y began the whirl with their festive Autumn Nocturne . The annual Y-Teen's Witches Walk once again flavored of Sadie l-lawkin's Day. In honor of the city champion gridders, the Student Council presented the Pigskin Shuffle. A culmination for the seniors was their winter prom held in the stately Veterans Memorial Building. The spring held such enchanting dances as the Sadie's Swing , Spring Interlude , Be Mine , and Rhythms in Roses , all given by Cooley's Hi-Y groups. Cooley students boosted spirit in the athletic matches but also showed enthusiastic support in regard to our foreign exchange program, the American Field Service. Two Drop-lns and concert candy sales were successful financial undertakings for raising A.F.S. money. ln regard to special trips, the eleventh grade snow trip and the senior trip proved worthwhile and exhila- rating for all who attended. Nationally famous for our fine music department, Cooley's Christmas Concert echoed its melodious strains to receptive ears throughout Europe on Ianuary 6, l96O. Another year has passed with many successful school activities and events-all ardently supported by the Cooley students.
